SHINE BRIGHT GREEN SMOOTHIE

Recipe inspired by Kimberly Snyder’s Glowing Green Smoothie with a few tweaks to make it work for me.

Okay friends, this recipe is one of the best things you can start doing for your body today! I first came across this recipe after giving birth to my third baby. I was feeling tired all the time and my mind felt extra cloudy. I was also losing so much hair and my skin was struggling. So, I decided to give it a try with minor changes that worked a little better for me.

It’s full of antioxidants and light enough to get you going in the morning. I make it every morning, it’s currently the first thing I have after I workout. I make one serving at a time, but you could do up to two servings and store it in the fridge. Up to you!

Shine Bright Green Smoothie

  • Blender
  • 1 cup cold filtered water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 celery stalks, halved
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup  cucumber
  • 10 leaves cilantro, thick stems cut off (optional)
  • ½ apple, cored, seeded, and quartered
  • ½ cup pineapple, cubed
  • ½ banana
  • ½ lemon juice
  1. Place the water, ice, spinach, celery, romaine, cucumber and herbs into a blender (I use a Vitamix) and secure the lid. Start the blender on low speed, then gradually increase the speed and blend until smooth. Add the apple, pineapple, banana, and lemon and blend until smooth.

I hope you give a try! Also, The Shine Bright Green Smoothie is adaptable to whatever you have on hand. But… I find that sticking to this version or the original recipe, gives the best results. I usually rinse and chop the ingredients over the weekend, this way they are ready to go for my busy mornings.
